Gary Wilkerson, President of World Challenge, Launches Daily Radio Program

World Challenge President Gary Wilkerson – whose ministry is behind The Cross and the Switchblade, Times Square Church, and Teen Challenge – has launched a daily radio program on nearly 200 stations.

Every weekday on the new one-minute daily feature World Challenge, Wilkerson intends to use his years of experience as a pastor to break through the challenges to the Christian faith and leave the listener with hope and help.

World Challenge was founded by Wilkerson’s father in 1971 and served as an umbrella for worldwide crusades, ministers’ conferences, a movie, book and tract publication, video production, street evangelism, literature distribution, church planting, drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers, and many charitable outreaches.

Today, World Challenge shares the message of the Gospel through mission outreaches and literature distribution. The numerous mission outreaches of World Challenge to the poor include orphanages, overseas widows’ fund, emergency/disaster relief, healthcare/clinics, community development, and feeding centers.

After pastoring Times Square Church in New York, Wilkerson became President of World Challenge in 2010 and moves forward with the same heart and vision as his father.
