Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to Welcome NRB International Christian Media Convention
DeSantis to Welcome Faith Broadcasters at Leading Christian Communications Conference
on May 22 at Orlando World Center Marriott
WASHINGTON, D.C. (NRB) —The National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) association—a nonpartisan, international association of Christian communicators whose member organizations represent hundreds of millions of listeners, viewers, and readers—announces that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis will address the 2023 NRB International Christian Media Convention in Orlando, Florida, on Monday, May 22, at 6:30 p.m. ET.“As NRB Convention returns to the state of Florida, we are pleased to have Governor DeSantis welcome the community of Christian broadcasters, continuing our tradition of inviting the governors of our host states to address NRB,” said Troy A. Miller, President & CEO of NRB. “NRB Convention is where Christian media and broadcasting come to life, and we welcome national and international newsmakers at every level.”
DeSantis will deliver a welcome address during the Opening Session of NRB 2023. Worldwide evangelist Franklin Graham, president of Samaritan’s Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA), will deliver the keynote address. Lawyer and national radio and television host Abraham Hamilton III and Israel Minister of Tourism Haim Katz will also deliver remarks.

Ron DeSantis is the 46th Governor of Florida. A native Floridian, DeSantis graduated with honors from Yale University and Harvard Law School. While at Harvard, he earned a commission in the U.S. Navy as a JAG officer. During his active-duty service, DeSantis deployed to Iraq as an adviser to a U.S. Navy SEAL commander in support of the SEAL mission in Fallujah, Ramadi and the rest of Al Anbar province. His military decorations include the Bronze Star Medal for Meritorious Service and the Iraq Campaign Medal.DeSantis served as a federal prosecutor, where he targeted and convicted child predators. He was elected to Congress in 2012 and advocated for congressional term limits and a balanced budget amendment. He also spearheaded oversight efforts to expose malfeasance in the IRS and in agencies involved in abusing their authority during the manufacturing of the Russia collusion conspiracy theory.
Ron is married to Casey DeSantis, an Emmy Award-winning television host. Ron and Casey DeSantis are the parents of three children, Madison, Mamie, and Mason.
