Educational Media Foundation (EMF), the organization behind leading Christian radio brands and NRB member organizations K-LOVE and Air1, recently announced its acquisition of Radio Nueva Vida (RNV), a prominent Hispanic Christian radio network. Tom Stultz, interim CEO of EMF, shared insights into the acquisition and its implications for both organizations and their listeners.
For over four decades, EMF has been dedicated to bringing the hope of the Gospel to as many people as possible while fostering deeper relationships with Jesus Christ. The acquisition of RNV aligns seamlessly with this mission:
“We have partnered with RNV since 2010 through the sharing of signals and have had a good relationship over that time,” said Stultz. “As we consider expanding our reach into the Spanish-speaking community, it makes sense to join forces with a leader like RNV. Their knowledge and expertise are vital.”
Listeners of RNV can look forward to enhanced RNV programming as EMF comes alongside to help with additional resources. Additionally, the founders of RNV, Phil and Mary Guthrie, will remain at the helm as a subsidiary of EMF, ensuring continuity and a seamless transition.
“I am thrilled we are solidifying our Kingdom partnership; there is so much work to do, and I know with God’s help, together we’ll be better,” said Phil Guthrie, president of RNV.
By leveraging RNV’s existing reach and expertise, EMF aims to expand its impact to better serve the Hispanic Christian community. “As experts in the Hispanic community, we will rely on them [RNV] for guidance, and we can use the resources God has blessed us with to help them improve and grow,” said Stultz.
One of EMF’s priorities is maintaining RNV’s distinctive voice and values within the broader EMF organization. “We’ve been sharing signals and translators with RNV for a long time, and because of that longstanding relationship, many of our team members already understand the work they do,” he noted. “It has been a great partnership full of mutual respect. I expect that culture to continue.”
As EMF and RNV embark on this new chapter together, the partnership promises to strengthen both ministries’ missions while offering fresh opportunities to connect with audiences and share the Gospel more effectively.
“We are excited to lock arms more tightly with RNV and get strategic about serving the Spanish-speaking community in new and better ways,” Stultz concluded.
Educational Media Foundation, which operates the nation’s two largest Christian music radio networks (K-LOVE and Air1), has been an NRB member since 2002.
