NRB provides students hands-on experience in Christian media through fast-paced audio, digital, video, and film challenges held during the NRB International Christian Media Convention, the largest gathering of Christian communicators.
Students build real projects under pressure, collaborate with peers from around the country, connect with industry professionals, and gain exposure to internships and career opportunities in Christian media.

Educational Institution Membership
High schools, colleges, universities, and seminaries- Includes complimentary full registration to NRB International Christian Media Convention
- Must be involved in communications or media-related studies.
- Membership fee allows an unlimited number of students and faculty to be listed as members.
- Eligible to register student teams to compete in the iNRB Challenges (+$125)
NRB Student Full Member
College students- Includes complimentary full registration to NRB International Christian Media Convention
- Must show proof of enrollment in an accredited school
- Must be under the age of 26
- Eligible to compete in the iNRB Challenges against other students and schools (+$30)
Young Professional Membership
Graduated student NRB members- Includes complimentary full registration to NRB International Christian Media Convention
- Available to student NRB members after graduation for up to five years

Audio Challenge
Podcasts must be under 10 minutes. News or sportscasts must be under 5 minutes. PSAs, commercials, and promos must be under 30 seconds or under 60 seconds.

TV newscasts and sportscasts must be under 30 minutes. Live multi-camera non-studio productions must be a clean switch sample between 8 and 10 minutes. PSAs, commercials, promos, newscasts, and sportscasts must be under 3 minutes.

Challenge FAQs
The iNRB (Intercollegiate) Production Challenges consist of a 12-hour Audio Challenge, a 12-hour Digital / Video Challenge, and a 24-hour Film Challenge on location during the NRB Convention every year.
Before the NRB Convention, eligible NRB student full members and individual members from iNRB member schools plus student teams from iNRB member schools submit their video, audio, and film projects for various awards.
What does it cost to participate?
There is a $125 fee for each team. For individual students, the entry fee for each Production Awards category is $30.
What is the deadline to submit my production?
The deadline to submit productions for the NRB 2027 International Christian Media Convention will be in November 2026. Exact date to be announced.
How do teams work?
Teams must consist of students currently enrolled in and attending the same NRB Full Member Educational Institution that offers a communication or film program and/or a student-run broadcast.
How many players per team?
A maximum of three students per team can compete, except for the Film Challenge, which accepts up to four students per team.
What else is included?
Once participating teams submit their entries, advising faculty and student team members are encouraged to enjoy the NRB Convention, including the student-specific offerings.
Is there a prize?
Yes! Winners are announced at the NRB Convention and recognized with awards and certificates.
