Dr. Kevin Roberts to Deliver Remarks at NRB Presidential Forum

Heritage Action president to address Christian broadcasting convention on state of the nation as 2024 election nears

NASHVILLE, TENN. (NRB) — The National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) association—a nonpartisan, international association of Christian communicators—is pleased to announce that Dr. Kevin Roberts, president of Heritage Action for America, will deliver remarks at the NRB Presidential Forum on February 22, 2024, at the 2024 NRB International Christian Media Convention.

The following quote is attributable to Troy A. Miller, NRB President & CEO:

“As a distinguished Christian leader and a top advocate for First Amendment freedoms, Dr. Kevin Roberts has championed the values we cherish as Christian broadcasters on the national and global stage. We look forward to hearing his perspective on this critical moment in the life of our Nation as he delivers remarks to the NRB Presidential Forum.”

The following quote is attributable to Dr. Kevin Roberts, President of Heritage Action:

“Every year our country is becoming more hostile to Americans of faith. The federal government is smothering our religious expression and freedom, Christian beliefs are being outlawed in the public square, and our children are inundated with secular and progressive messages from nearly every medium.

Religious broadcasters are more important today than ever before. They are on the front lines of a deepening spiritual crisis in our country, and they’re one of the few remaining media who speak Truth to power.

I am proud to participate in this year’s NRB Presidential Forum and partner with some of the most patriotic and faithful voices in America. We face a limited window of opportunity to save our republic, but together I know we will win.”

Kevin D. Roberts, Ph.D., was named President of The Heritage Foundation in October 2021 as the seventh President in the organization’s 50-year history. In September 2023, Roberts was named President of Heritage Action for America and serves both organizations in a joint role.

Roberts previously served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Texas Public Policy Foundation (TPPF), an Austin-based nonprofit, nonpartisan research institute, and the largest state think tank in the nation. Under Roberts’ leadership, TPPF more than doubled in size. He also expanded the Texas think tank’s influence nationwide, opening an office in Washington, D.C., so that TPPF research might better inform federal policy debates.

In September 2023, Roberts received NRB’s 2023 First Freedoms Award. NRB presents its First Freedoms Award to a stalwart defender of religious liberty at its annual Capitol Hill Media Summit.

The 2024 NRB Presidential Forum is sponsored by Salem Media Group, Heritage Action for America, and PRAY.COM. National Religious Broadcasters is a 501(c)(3) organization. Accordingly, it neither supports nor opposes any candidate for public office. NRB invited all eligible candidates from both parties to participate in its presidential candidate forum. No position expressed by a sponsor or participant of the NRB Presidential Forum should be understood as the position of the NRB.
