As early autumn descends on the Nation’s capital, the NRB President’s Council will gather in Washington, D.C., September 19-21, with lawmakers, newsmakers, and policy experts speaking on First Amendment freedoms and providing insight on key issues of importance to NRB members.
The summit will be held at the Waldorf Astoria Washington DC, plus other essential venues downtown and on Capitol Hill. Confirmed Capitol Hill Media Summit contributors include former Representative Frank R. Wolf (R-VA-10), Brandon Tatum, host of “The Officer Tatum Show” on Salem Radio Network, Carrie Campbell Severino, president of the Judicial Crisis Network (JCN), Charles Hurt, opinion editor of The Washington Times, and more.
In addition to the speaker program, the summit will also include the presentation of NRB’s annual First Freedoms award to a stalwart defender of religious liberty. Past award recipients include former Sen. Sam Brownback (R-KS), Alliance Defending Freedom Founder Alan Sears, Rep. Greg Walden (R-Ore.), former Rep. J. Randy Forbes (R-Va.), former Rep. Frank Wolf (R-Va.), Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.), Sen. James Lankford (R-Okla.), Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.), and others.
The President’s Council is a group of executives in media, law, broadcasting, and advocacy who make additional investments of time and resources in NRB’s public policy and advocacy activities. Throughout the year, NRB leverages its advocacy resources and Washington, D.C. networks to assist President’s Council members in their key priorities, and at our annual convention, NRB hosts an exclusive, invitation-only reception for President’s Council members and select VIP guests. The most recent President’s Council reception in Nashville, Tennessee, presented by Newsmax, welcomed influential guests from throughout Christian and conservative media and featured remarks from Newsmax CEO Chris Ruddy.
The fall of 2022 is a busy and exciting time in the Nation’s capital, and NRB looks forward to welcoming this gathering of Christian executives to the Nation’s capital in the days to come.
