Do you have a story, script, or even a finished product? Want to pitch it straight to a distribution company or just get notes and input from a highly successful film professional?
If you sign up for Proclaim 19 with a Full Convention Registration or a Day Pass for Wednesday, March 27, you can pitch to at least two different distributors at the NRB 2019 Pitch-a-thon!
Choose from at least 13 top distributors this year!
During the Pitch-a-thon, representatives of participating distribution companies will be seated around tables. Everyone who signs up for the Pitch-a-thon will have five minutes at each distributor’s table – up to three minutes to pitch your project, and two for their notes. No more than two people can represent a project to a distributor and only one project is allowed per five-minute session.
The still-growing list* of those on the receiving end of the Pitch-a-thon currently includes:
- PROVIDENT FILMS (Laurie Chimento, Ashley Chambliss)
- PURE FLIX DIGITAL (Linda Blazy)
- AFFIRM FILMS (Josh Nadler)
- VISION VIDEO (Bill Curtis, Karen Rudd, Matt Oser)
- BMG GLOBAL (David Austin, John Kim)
- PARABLES TV (Isaac Hernandez)
- OCEAN AVENUE ENT. (Chris Bueno)
- GIVING COMPANY/ CHRISTIAN CINEMA (David Henriksen, Bobby Downes)
- EXPLORATION FILMS (Stephen Penn)
- COBALT PICTURES (Travis Mann)
- SHEPHERD FILMS (Aneesh Daniel)
- VIRGIL FILMS & ENT. (Craig Van Gorp, Joe Amodei)
- COLLIDE Media Group (Bob Elder, Steve Break, Brian Lange)
In the five years since NRB began hosting the Pitch-a-thon, some pitches have landed deals and a number of participants have received offers for distribution for their films.
“NRB’s Pitch-a-thon was really helpful, as it gave us a window and opportunity to pitch to the relevant people in the industry, and meet the best of the best of the distributors/producers,” recalled Aneesh Daniel, whose movie The Least of These: The Graham Staines Story released in hundreds of theaters last month as a Fathom event.
Daniel had pitched the script for The Least of These at the NRB Pitch-a-thon and made numerous contacts that led to him getting his film made.
“The Pitch-a-thon also helped us to meet the giants, like PureFlix, Provident Films, and many renowned distributors,” added Daniel, who will be a speaker at Proclaim 19 and be on the receiving end at this year’s Pitch-a-thon. “Thank you to NRB for showing us the way, and introducing people who could help us convert our dream into a reality.”
The Pitch-a-thon will take place Wednesday, March 27, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Anaheim Marriott in Anaheim during the week of Proclaim 19, the upcoming NRB International Christian Media Convention.
To participate in the Pitch-a-thon, you must first register for the Proclaim 19 Convention with either a Full Registration or a Wednesday-Only Registration. During the registration process, be sure to check the box indicating your interest in the Pitch-a-thon. By checking this box, an email will be generated and sent to you with instructions on how to then register for the actual Pitch-a-thon event.
Please be sure to allow time to pick up your convention badge in the Anaheim Convention Center Hall D prior to going to the Marriott Marquis room to check in for the Pitch-a-thon. You MUST have your convention badge to participate. All participants must arrive by 8:30 a.m. at the Marriott Marquis room to check in for the Pitch-a-thon.
Anyone late for a pitch session will immediately forfeit that slot, which may be awarded to someone else. It is recommended that prospective Pitch-a-thon participants register as soon as possible to ensure a spot with the distributor(s) they want most. Appointments are expected to fill up quickly.
