NRB Congratulates 2020 CMB Award Winners

The Christian Music Broadcasters (CMB) announced the recipients of its 2020 awards on Tuesday during its virtual Momentum 2020 conference.

The Station of the Year winners were Life 97.9 (KFNW) in Fargo, North Dakota, in the Small Market category; Life 102.5 (WNWC) in Madison, Wisconsin, in the Medium Market category; SOS Radio (KSOS) in Las Vegas, Nevada, in the Large Market category; and BOOST RADIO (KPVR) in St. Louis, Missouri, in the Major Market/Network category.

Open to any station that plays Christian music for a majority of its broadcast day, the CMB Radio Station of the Year Awards are presented to stations that show outstanding achievement in on-air presentation, community service, ratings, new media, and industry leadership.

CMB also presents Special Awards including the Industry Achievement Award for outstanding and long-term contributions to the growth of Christian music radio, the Community Service Award for outstanding effort in community service in the past year, and the Rich Mullins Artist Impact Award for long-time contributions to the music and ministry of Christian music radio.

The Special Service Award recipients this year were Todd Isberner, Founder/President Emeritus of ShareMedia, who received the Industry Achievement Award; WGTS in Washington, D.C., which received the Community Service Award; and Tenth Avenue North, who received the Rich Mullins Artist Impact Award.

Award recipients in the past have been announced at CMB’s annual Awards Dinner at its Momentum conference. This year, however, due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis, the event was held as a four-day online gathering, May 26-29.

NRB congratulates all recipients of this year’s 2020 CMB Awards!
