TWR, the global media ministry and NRB member known for reaching the world for Christ through mass media, has announced the appointment of Andy Schick as its next president and CEO. Schick will officially step into the role in August 2025, succeeding Lauren Libby after his 16 years of transformative leadership.
“I see my role as an enabler for people to care deeply about reaching others for Jesus,” Schick said. “Success for me involves people waking up every morning thinking about the audience that God has entrusted to them and feeling like they are completely supported and empowered to do their job well.”
Schick brings a dynamic blend of executive leadership, technological innovation, and ministry passion to the role. Originally from New Zealand, he has led tech companies, advised international ministries like Reach Beyond, and spearheaded revenue and digital transformation efforts at World Vision. His entrepreneurial drive is matched by a deep commitment to the Gospel and a track record of leveraging media to expand ministry impact.
“Andy is creative and brilliant,” said Cassius Smith, TWR’s interim president. “He uses tools I didn’t even know existed to analyze and build understanding. He brings fresh energy and perspective, and I believe he’ll bring exciting innovation to a ministry that must keep its eyes on the future.”
A longtime champion of radio, Schick also embraces the role of emerging technologies in world missions.
“TWR was pushing the boundaries of how to reach unreached people groups over 70 years ago, and it’s still pushing those boundaries,” Schick said. “It remains entrepreneurial and innovative, technically savvy yet deeply rooted in the heart of God. It strives not just to be good, but to be effective.”
Looking ahead, Schick hopes to lead TWR into a season marked by courage, unity, and Spirit-led innovation.
TWR has been an NRB member since 1958. Read more about the announcement and Andy Schick’s background here.
