Troy A. Miller, NRB president & CEO, spoke with Lauren Green on the Fox News podcast “Lighthouse Faith” about the global battle to preserve Judeo-Christian values.
“In the Judeo-Christian worldview, one of the things we hold to dearly is individual rights and civil rights,” Miller said. “In Islam, individual rights only apply to other Muslims. … Other faiths are subservient to Islam.”
Miller also pointed out the conflict between the Islamic view of Sharia law as the highest in the land and the American view of the Constitution as the highest law in the land.
“The genius of our founding fathers in our American experience is that they codified in the Bill of Rights that our rights are God-given and they are not given by the state,” Miller said.

Bethany Miller, NRB director of communications, spoke with Kimberly Warrick on “Come to the Table” about American heritage, religious revival, and God’s design for family.
“When we actually speak the truth of the Gospel with the full force, the full counsel of God, it does produce a type of transformation that is needed,” Miller said. “It is not helping the spiritual health of our nation in any way when we are diluting and dumbing down Scripture to fit media trends versus just letting it speak in the way it is meant to be.”
When America was founded, leaders knew their Scripture well. Miller credits the 250th anniversary with opening fruitful conversations on the Christian heritage of the nation.
“The American dream was founded on Christian values,” Miller said. “It was founded on a type of religion that creates a future of human dignity and justice and truth.”
Miller also touched on need for older generations to disciple the youth — knowing that if they do not, popular media will disciple the youth instead.
“It would be fantastic if the older generation would find and seek out those younger leaders and those younger believers and say, ‘Hey, let me walk with you in this,’ and, ‘Hey, let’s go have coffee and let’s talk about Scripture,’” Miller said.
