Veteran News-Talk Programmer Phil Boyce to Deliver Sunday Keynote at NRB 2013

Phil BoyceManassas, VA– Phil Boyce, the man widely credited with hiring Sean Hannity and taking his show into national syndication, will deliver a keynote address on Sunday, March 3, at the NRB 2013 Convention & Exposition in Nashville, TN.

Boyce is currently the Vice President and Director of Spoken Word Format for Salem Communications, the largest commercial U.S. radio broadcasting company that provides programming targeted to audiences interested in Christian and family-themed radio content. In this capacity, Boyce supervises the 24 News-Talk stations owned by Salem, in addition to the 40 Christian Talk and Teach stations, and the 11 Business Talk stations. Boyce is directly responsible for on-air programming at WNYM and WMCA Radio in New York City.

Previously, Boyce was the Program Director for News Talk Radio WABC (AM) in New York City, as well as Vice President of News-Talk programming for ABC Radio and Program Director for Talk Radio Network. He handled programming at all ABC Radio News-Talk stations, including KABC-AM in Los Angeles, WLS-AM in Chicago and WMAL-AM in Washington, DC.

In addition to his part in hiring talk show host Sean Hannity in New York and taking his show into national syndication for ABC in 2001, Boyce also hired Mark Levin at WABC and took him into national syndication in 2006.

Boyce has been named Program Director of the Year by R & R magazine. He was also named in Radio Ink as one of the top 10 Program Directors of the Year for 10 straight years.
