Tommy Walker to Lead Worship at NRB 2014 Sunday Morning Service


Tommy WalkerNashville, TN – Tommy Walker will be leading the worship during the Sunday morning service on February 23 at the NRB 2014 International Christian Media Convention in Nashville, TN. He will be joined by a choir comprising members of local area churches, courtesy of LifeWay Worship.

“It is such a blessing to have Tommy Walker lead us in worship at the Convention on Sunday,” expressed NRB President & CEO Dr. Jerry A. Johnson. “As his songs have reached multiple generations and resound with believers around the world, he is a fitting worship leader for our international gathering of Christian communicators.”

Walker has led worship at Christian Assembly in Los Angeles, CA, with his pastor, Mark Pickerill, since 1990. He has also been privileged to serve with such church leaders as Jack Hayford, Bill Hybels, and Rick Warren.

To date, Walker has written more than 100 songs that are currently being tracked by CCLI (Christian Copyright Licensing International) and are being sung in churches around the world, including He Knows My NameOnly A God Like You, That's Why We Praise Him, Lord I Believe In You, Mourning Into Dancing, Break Through, We Will Remember, and I Have a Hope. He has recorded worship projects for Maranatha! Music, Integrity Music, and Get Down Ministries. He has also frequently traveled internationally, holding worship concerts and mercy ministry outreaches in places where people are in great need.
