Manassas, VA –  The Active Word with Pastor Bob Coy: 3-2-1 Hear It-Live It-Share It will receive the NRB Best Television Teaching Program Award during the February 26th Television Reception at the NRB Convention & Exposition.

“Pastor Bob Coy presents Biblical Truth in the context of real-life situations helps his audience take hold of God’s Word and apply it in their everyday lives,” said NRB President & CEO Dr. Frank Wright.  “The Active Word’s creative use of media helps to cut through the clutter, so viewers can better see their need for redemption and real change.”

The Active Word is the media outreach of Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale and Pastor Bob Coy. Pastor Bob was led to start the church in 1985, and it has since grown to a weekly attendance of over 18,000. Through daily radio programs, weekly television programs, and web-based media, the media ministry seeks to share the truth and relevance of the Gospel. The Active Word plays an important role in that mission, using the power of the medium to inspire viewers to hear, live and share the life-changing truth of God’s word with the world around them.

The Best Television Teaching Program should demonstrate creative use of the teaching format, adhere to sound doctrine and Biblical integrity as stated in the NRB Statement of Faith and Code of Ethics, and be uniquely innovative in presentation of the Gospel.
