Did you catch today’s Public Policy Debate? It was a fabulous conversation between the Rev. Dr. Cindi love, Executive Director of Soulforce, and Joe Dallas, former homosexual activist and Founder of Genesis Biblical Counseling. Nationally syndicated radio host Janet Parshall did a superb job of drawing out both individuals, as they provided a spirited and fascinating glimpse of two very different perspectives on the Bible’s view of homosexuality and how the Church should respond. If you have a friend, Church, organization, or ministry that grapples with this issue, pick up a copy of the session.
We just concluded NRB 2011 with the Banquet, where attendees were energized by the lively sound of Denver and The Mile High Orchestra. Dr. Frank Wright, NRB President & CEO, also awarded the NRB Special Service Awards, which included the Milestone Award (50 years in broadcast), Hall of Fame Awards, and Board of Director Award. The evening concluded with a heartwarming, encouraging, funny and very thoughtful message by Chuck Swindoll, noted author, broadcaster, and Senior Pastor of Stonebriar Church. He opened up his heart and imparted a very candid list of the things he has learned in life…the good and the more challenging. It was wisdom each of us can take to the bank.
Finally, a very special thank you to those who led educational sessions, participated in events, gave keynotes, provided special music, and volunteered to make NRB 2011 a success. And for attendees, we hope that you thoroughly enjoyed this year’s Convention & Exposition, and we’ll look forward to seeing you next year!
