Manassas, VA –Strong Tower Christian Media (WEEC and WFCJ) will receive the prestigious NRB Milestone Award during the February 21st Awards Dinner at the NRB 2012 Convention & Exposition.
“Not only have WEEC and WFCJ each separately served their respective communities in Ohio and the neighboring states for 50 years, they also have demonstrated that together they have a better return for their labor,” said NRB President & CEO Dr. Frank Wright. “Through their Christian unity, they can use their resources more efficiently to reach more people with the Gospel and thus continue to honor the name of Christ for many more years to come.”
In 1961, God led a few people in Dayton, and Springfield, OH, who were poor in cash but rich in faith to start WEEC and WFCJ. Over the years, these 50,000-watt radio stations have been committed to the teaching of God’s Word and Christian music. In 2008, WFCJ and WEEC formed Strong Tower Christian Media to promote Christian unity and good stewardship. Their signals cover Central and Southwest Ohio, Eastern Indiana and Northern Kentucky. They also operate five HD channels. The story of WEEC and WFCJ is God’s story of grace, faithfulness and provision through His people—a story that will continue until He returns.
Longevity in any field is becoming a rarity, and exemplary service in Christian broadcasting for 50 years—or more—is a feat worthy of recognition and applause. With the Milestone Award, NRB desires to honor the industry pioneers who brought Christian communications to the place of respect and achievement it enjoys today.
