Manassas, VA – The National Religious Broadcasters’ “If My People” 40 Days of Prayer Campaign begins tomorrow, September 1st. “God will hear our prayers and heal our land only after we humble ourselves, pray, seek His face, and turn from our wicked ways,” said NRB Chairman of the Board Bill Skelton, referencing II Chronicles 7:14. “Now is the time when we must be transparent before the Lord to let Him change us, so that through the power of the Holy Spirit we might change the world.” Click here to learn more about this important call to prayer, and to download free radio PSAs recorded by well-known Christian leaders.
Believing strongly in the mission of this prayer campaign, Grammy-nominated SONICFLOOd has joined with NRB in calling the Church to repentance. Their song MayDay! is assisting the kick-off of tomorrow’s campaign.
“In light of all that is going wrong in our nation, we ask, ‘How bad must it get before we seek the One True God's face?’” says SONICFLOOd’s lead singer, Rick Heil. “As ‘followers of Christ’ or ‘Christians,’ we must lead in the way back to God's covering in these perilous times. May we be unified and cry out to the Lord and repent for pushing Him out of our schools, our courtrooms, our laws and our homes so that the Creator of All Life may heal our land! True peace will only exist when we are at peace with the King of Kings, Jesus the Christ!”
The members of SONICFLOOd are often called “The Fathers of Modern Worship Music.” In addition to their Grammy nomination, the band has earned Dove Awards, ASCAP awards, and many other accolades. SONICFLOOd has sold over two million records and is currently touring to promote their new album, A Heart Like Yours. Learn more about SONICFLOOd here.
