NRB MOURNS THE PASSING OF A DEAR FRIEND

It is with great sadness that the National Religious Broadcasters announces the death of former NRB Chairman of the Board of Directors, Bill Skelton.  He passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2012.

“Bill Skelton left a mark of grace on almost everyone he encountered.  His words of wisdom, encouragement, and challenge have blessed many in the community of Christian broadcasters,” said NRB President & Chairman Dr. Frank Wright.  “His long-standing service in various NRB leadership roles (including as Chairman of the Board of Directors) has been very influential in shaping the worldwide outreach of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through electronic media.”

In addition to being a faithful and long-time member of NRB and serving on both the NRB Board of Directors and the founding Board of the NRB Network, Bill Skelton held the position of President & CEO of Memphis-based Love Worth Finding (LWF) until very recently.  In this role, Skelton continued the legacy of Dr. Adrian Rogers in the mission of bringing people to Christ and maturing them in the faith.  He played a key part in expanding LWF’s television, radio, and Internet ministry.

Skelton is survived by his wife, Barbara, and by three children and five grandchildren.
