“Most Creative Online Initiative” Award Goes to Gospel for Asia for MyGFA.org

MyGFA logoManassas, VA– Gospel for Asia will receive the 2013 NRB Media Award for Most Creative Online Initiative on Tuesday, March 5, at the NRB 2013 Convention & Exposition.

The NRB Most Creative Online Initiative Award honors a Christian radio station, television station, ministry or other Christian organization that has used the worldwide web in an imaginative or innovative way to advance their mission, message or project online. This year, the judges named Gospel for Asia the winner of the award for MyGFA.org.

“Through MyGFA, Gospel for Asia is encouraging Christians to ‘activate’ their faith,” noted NRB President & CEO Dr. Frank Wright. “As a result, hundreds of people have joined MyGFA to reach thousands of families in Asia with the love of Christ."

Gospel for Asia is involved in sharing the love of Christ through national missionaries. These men and women missionaries are trained in Bible colleges to share the hope found in Christ. After training, they go out to the unreached people of South Asia, in the nations they serve, and share the love of God. The organization also ministers to children through their Bridge of Hope program, providing education, quality meals and a loving environment to more than 60,000 children in South Asia. For more than 30 years, Gospel for Asia has brought aid and hope to some of the most downtrodden people in South Asia.

With MyGFA, people can set up a personalized campaign – with their own picture and story – to inspire friends and raise funds to reach families in Asia with the love of Christ.

Campaigns can be created to:

  • Help needy families earn a livelihood
  • Give communities access to clean, healthy water
  • Teach women in Asia to read
  • Give hope to needy widows and street children
  • Provide bicycles for missionaries
  • and more...
