Manassas, VA – Diamonds in the Dust will receive the prestigious NRB Short Form Radio Program of the Year Award during the February 26th Radio Reception at the NRB 2011 Convention & Exposition.
“God has blessed Joni Eareckson Tada with an amazing ability to speak directly into our hearts through years of personal struggle and unwavering faith,” said NRB President & CEO Dr. Frank Wright. “As a result, she connects with her listeners by providing fresh insights that drive us deeper into our relationship with the Lord.”
Diamonds in the Dust is a daily, one-minute commentary produced by Joni and Friends. The purpose of these short features is to help the listener encounter Jesus Christ in new ways, and particularly to help them understand that they must not try to erase 'suffering' out of the Christian's dictionary. Diamonds in the Dust also invites them onto a higher plane of trust and confidence in God by striding courageously into the fellowship of sharing in Christ's sufferings.
The NRB Short Form Radio Program of the Year Award is presented to a radio program less than five minutes in length that impacts the listener by being compelling, relevant, informative, personable, and entertaining, while demonstrating an authentic Christian faith.
