(July 15, 2010) The National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) filed a Comment this morning with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regarding federal authority to govern the Internet. Court Fails America’s Families

(July 14, 2010) The National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) is deeply disappointed by yesterday’s U.S. Court of Appeals Second Circuit ruling that struck down the FCC’s policy on fleeting indecency. NRB filed an Amicus Brief with the Supreme Court in support of the FCC’s indecency rules, and our association applauded the Supreme Court for affirming the indecency rules as a “reasonable” FCC regulation. Religious television broadcasters – many of whom are non-profit/non-commercial – have a deeply vested interest in “Must Carry” since they are not in a position to negotiate for retransmission fees. History also demonstrates that most religious programming would disappear from cable television if “Must Carry” is eliminated.
