WLMB-TV Celebrates 15 Years on the Air

WLMB-TV 40WLMB-TV 40, Toledo’s Christian station, celebrated 15 years on the air last week.

On October 18, 1998, WLMB signed on the air for the first time, bringing local Christian TV to Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan.

Since then, WLMB’s reach has extended to more than 2.5 million potential viewers. Over the past 15 years, WLMB has also been awarded NRB’s TV Station of the Year award for multiple years, starting from 2003, and received several awards from NRB for various program and commercial productions.

In addition, in June 2010, WLMB received a Bronze Telly Award for Commercial Production with a spot produced for Herron's Oak Furniture called "October Sales Event," which was produced by Joshua Dyer, WLMB's Vice President of Commercial Production.

The mission of WLMB-TV 40 is to provide Christ-centered television of high technical quality and programming excellence to uplift, unite, educate, challenge, and encourage viewers in a manner consistent with the teachings of God's Word.

WLMB’s President & CEO, Jamey Schmitz, serves on the Board of Directors for NRB and the NRB Network. He is also a member of the NRB President’s Council.
