One of Many Reasons to Attend NRB 2014: Networking & Access

Networking at NRB 2014When it comes to strategic networking opportunities for Christian media and ministry professionals, NRB’s International Christian Media Convention is a frontrunner.

With hundreds of exhibitors at the Exposition and thousands in attendance, the NRB Convention provides participants with the opportunity to meet and speak directly with representatives of leading Christian organizations, including the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, Campus Crusade for Christ (Cru), Charisma Media, The Christian Post, Family Research Council, LifeWay Christian Resources, SAT-7, TWR, Tyndale House Publishers, and many more. The MyShow Planner, furthermore, will help you set up appointments ahead of time and notify exhibitors of your desire to connect.

The Convention also has Industry Receptions that will offer you special access to peers in your field. Furthermore, for international attendees and attendees whose organizations have an international outreach, the International Reception will allow you to meet up with Christian communicators from around the world.

And that’s only the beginning!

There are also Zoom Lunches for those who participate in the morning educational sessions. These lunches are loosely structured with the natural and social dynamics of sharing a meal. You will have the opportunity to connect more personally with other Convention participants, and discuss and discover the wealth of take-home value gained from the educational sessions and your peers.

Also, as an added benefit, there will be autograph booths in the Exhibit Hall featuring more than a dozen authors and Christian leaders who are available to autograph books and other items. Participating will be Ken Ham, Dr. Erwin Lutzer, and Wayne Pederson, among others.

Want people to come to you? Let others know that you’ll be attending the Convention by including #NRB14 in your tweets. You can also browse through our list of Convention participants in the Twittersphere and add your name as well by sending a tweet to @NRBConvention!

For organizations, new relationships and opportunities can come to you when you have an official presence at the Convention – either through exhibiting in the Exhibit Hall or setting up a temporary headquarters for your organization during the Convention in the form of Hospitality Lounges. Hospitality Lounges are meeting rooms located in the Convention area of the hotel that serve as excellent gathering places for your organization to conduct business meetings, hold small receptions, and bring potential clients or ministry partners to learn more about your organization in a more intimate setting. Hospitality Lounges will increase your market visibility. (Contact Beth Wakefield, bwakefield@nrb.org, for more details on the Hospitality Lounges.)

Networking opportunities abound at the Convention. But don’t just take our word for it. Here are some of the testimonies from last year’s Convention participants:

"The relationships I built at NRB are invaluable. I could not have made these types of connections anywhere else."

"Lots of people we needed to meet and talk to all in one place. Do not have to travel the country to meet them all."

"NRB allows me to meet ministry leaders and decision makers face-to-face. That personal relationship makes all the difference in our interaction together throughout the year."

"The NRB Convention is the highlight of my year. I have had so many God encounters and met so many great people. It truly is a blessing to have an atmosphere and event to receive support from peers and mentors in the industry and to meet new people that God puts in your path."

"It's a great place to network with successful Christian broadcasters who know what they're doing and can give advice to a struggling business or upstart student."

"Met people to share my program with from all over the world all in one place."

"It was the best convention I have ever been to. It was great meeting like-minded ministries and finding out about new ones."

"This is our opportunity to connect with many people in one place."

"[The Convention] provides an opportunity to interact with the people who produce the programs we broadcast, the artists whose music we play, and people who have jobs like ours at other radio stations."
