NRB Welcomes New Director of Communications

Kenneth Chan, NRB Communications DirectorThis month, NRB welcomed the newest addition to its staff.  Kenneth Chan, former Executive Editor of The Christian Post, has joined the NRB team as the association’s Director of Communications. He will initially focus on NRB's communications and marketing initiatives.

“Kenneth is a talented and welcome addition to our efforts to serve NRB members, here and around the world,” commented NRB President and CEO Dr. Frank Wright.

As NRB’s director of communications, Chan will be developing, implementing, and managing the association’s primary communication devices.  He will also be responsible for NRB’s flagship publication, NRB Today, and provide oversight to all press center activities during NRB’s annual convention in Nashville.

“I am thankful for the opportunity to serve NRB and its current and potential members,” stated Chan.  “My desire is to help Christian communicators utilize today’s media to more effectively spread the Good News in a world desperately in need of it. And I feel NRB and its members are so important in advancing and defending such efforts.”

For seven years, Chan worked at The Christian Post (www.christianpost.com). Having joined the news organization in 2004 – the year it became incorporated – Chan played a major role in the company's development and growing prominence. As Executive Editor, he was not only responsible for the news and overall content for the website, but he also managed and directed CP’s marketing efforts, including those via Facebook, Twitter, and email.

With Chan’s help, CP grew from a little-known website to one of the most widely read and influential Christian publications today.  In addition to his roles in CP, Chan has served as a consultant for several websites and small Christian organizations.

Like most of NRB’s staff, Chan will be working out of the NRB headquarters office in Manassas, VA.  Chan still serves on The Christian Post’s Board of Directors.
