NRB is excitedly anticipating the arrival of numerous NRB President’s Council members next week for the annual Capitol Hill Media Summit. During the two-day gathering, participants will have an inside track on happenings in Washington as they interact with Members of Congress, State Department and Federal Communications Commission officials, and other leaders. Kicking off the engagement will be a press conference and panel discussion hosted by the NRB John Milton Project for Religious Free Speech. At this time, NRB will unveil its Free Speech Charter for the Internet, a first-of-its-kind proposal to address the tension between values of free speech and free enterprise in the online world. Also, in addition to key briefings and networking opportunities, the Summit itinerary will include special dinners at the prestigious National Press Club and at the Lincoln Cottage, where Abraham Lincoln wrote the Emancipation Proclamation.
The NRB President’s Council is a select group of strategic partners whose generous support and dedicated efforts enable the NRB to preserve and expand the proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, both here and around the world. Members recognize the singular importance of NRB’s engagement in the legislative, legal, and regulatory arenas, and they serve as influential ambassadors for NRB as they interact with political leaders and others with positions of significant influence and authority in our nation’s capital.
