NRB President Endorses Irreplaceable Movie Event

Irreplaceable the movieNRB President Jerry A. Johnson is among the various Christian leaders who have endorsed Irreplaceable, one of the largest initiatives that Focus on the Family has ever undertaken.

“Wow, this movie is dynamite! You have nailed the number 1 cultural problem in America today,” expressed Dr. Johnson after previewing the feature length documentary film.

“Knowing Focus on the Family, I am not surprised the film also delivers the right solution,” he added. “The tone seems right – personal, yet prophetic. It also transcends race and nationality. I am thrilled about this film. I recommend it enthusiastically!”

On May 6, Irreplaceable will be presented one night only in more than 700 select movie theaters around the country. The documentary follows Tim Sisarich, formerly with Focus on the Family New Zealand, as he goes on a quest around the world to take a genuine look at the issues affecting families most. During his journey, Sisarich speaks with both experts and “real people” who have overcome challenges and are now on the other side.

“Family is simply one of the most important concepts in human history and it is currently dangerously misunderstood and undervalued,” shared Socrates in the City and BreakPoint Radio Host Eric Metaxas in his endorsement of Irreplaceable. “I applaud Focus on the Family for this film reminding us that family is at the very heart of God’s purposes in all societies, and that to abandon it is to abandon all hope of human flourishing.”

Adding to that, Dr. Russell D. Moore, President of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission, said he is looking forward to the release of Irreplaceable as well as the companion small group experience, “The Family Project,” which will explore the themes introduced in Irreplaceable.

“These important resources explain why the institution of the family is a signpost pointing us directly to God Himself, and why this truth has profound implications for both the Church and society,” Dr. Moore shared.

For the one-night-only event, Focus on the Family will debut Irreplaceable on May 6 at 7:30 p.m. local time. The movie will culminate with a pre-recorded round-table discussion featuring prominent faith leaders and several family experts. This conversation will be hosted by Focus on the Family President Jim Daly and will include movie host Tim Sisarich.

Tickets for Irreplaceable are now on sale and are available at participating theater box offices and online at www.FathomEvents.com. Tickets and theater locations are also available at www.IrreplaceableTheMovie.com.

Also on May 6, “The Family Project” will go on sale with copies shipping two weeks after that sale date. The 12-part DVD small group experience seeks to make God known as participants learn about His marvelous design of family. More details can be found at www.FamilyProject.com.
