NRB Hosts Reception for Pro-Life Leaders, Members Following March for Life

March for Life Open HouseNRB hosted an open house reception at its DC office on Capitol Hill following this year’s annual March for Life.

Special guests who spoke at the reception included Jeanne Monahan, President of March for Life; Tony Perkins, President of Family Research Council; and Dr. Russell Moore, President of the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission.

Also in attendance were Brad Mattes, CEO of Life Issues Institute and Member of the NRB Board of Directors; Eric Teetsel, Executive Director of the Manhattan Declaration; and George Roller, Executive Director of the D. James Kennedy Center for Christian Statesmanship.

“It was such a blessing to join fellow pro-lifers for the March for Life and to host some of them at our Capitol Hill office,” commented NRB President & CEO Dr. Jerry A. Johnson. “It was also encouraging to see so many stand for life and stand for our First Amendment freedoms. Together, we are making an impact for this generation and for generations to come.”

Dedicated three years ago as the Ben Armstrong Center for Media Freedom, NRB’s Capitol Hill office has served as a strategic base for NRB’s efforts to protect and promote our cherished First Amendment rights – particularly religious liberty and the freedom of speech.

Overseeing the Capitol Hill office is Aaron Mercer, NRB’s Vice President of Government Relations. As NRB’s primary advocate in Washington, Aaron actively represents NRB members and communicates with officials of the White House, the United States Congress, the Federal Communications Commission, and other government institutions. He also works in tandem with the NRB General Counsel’s office.
