New to NRB: Individual Professional Members Category

NRB Member logoNRB is introducing a new category of membership for individuals working in Christian media who attain certain professional standards.

Full Individual Professional Membership is an enhanced level of Full Individual Membership, and is available to individuals who have successfully completed a professional training or educational program and have worked 5+ years in the field of Christian media.

Individual Professional Members (IPMs) also commit to mentoring other professionals (of their choice) or to serving in NRB leadership; specifically, they serve on Advisory Councils or, if elected, on Standing Committees. This also serves as a means of preparation for service on the Board of Directors (if not already a Board member).

At the annual Convention, one IPM will be recognized with the NRB Individual Professional Member Award for demonstration of the highest professional and ethical standards, extraordinary leadership in serving NRB, and excellence in mentoring fellow Christian media professionals. The award will be presented during the Annual Business Meeting, and the recipient will be featured in a press release and an NRB Today article.

In addition, IPMs are provided with an Individual Professional Member certificate and receive exclusive access to the new NRB Job Board on LinkedIn – a unique one-stop hub for those seeking job opportunities at NRB Member organizations. Furthermore, IPMs carry special Membership cards, and at Convention, they wear ribbons on their badges that set them apart.

Both Full Individual Members and Full IPMs must subscribe to the association's Statement of Faith and Code of Ethics, agree to Christian arbitration for dispute resolution, and submit references as a part of their application process. Both classes of Membership are portable, i.e., the Membership travels with the person and is not tied to a particular Christian media organization.

Both classes of Membership also allow an individual voice and vote at the NRB Annual Business Meeting. If either an Individual Member or an IPM is employed by a Christian organization that is also a Member, however, the individual has no voice or vote at the Annual Business Meeting, unless the individual has been designated as a delegate by the member organization.

Full Individual Members pay $388 in annual dues. Full Professional Members pay $500 in annual dues.

Although just recently announced, 13 individuals have already become Individual Professional Members. They are Daniel Allen of Joy in Jesus Ministries; Jeffrey Anderson, President of Jeffrey P. Anderson & Associates; Brod Boyd, Principal/Sr. Consultant at Abram-Leslie New Media Consulting; Danny Carrales of DRC Films, LLC; Phil Cooke, President & Creative Director of Cooke Pictures; Ray Cradock in the United Kingdom; Chuck Finney, President of Finney Media; Scott Keegan, Owner/Managing Member of JSK Media Consulting, LLC.; Torry Martin in Sparta, TN; Alex McFarland of Sound Rezn; Robert McFarland, President of McFarland Messaging; Richard McIntosh, General Manager at KWVE-FM; and Matthew Pickart of Pick-Art Productions.
