June Hunt, KCBI Honored with the ‘Legacy of Life’ Community Award

June HumtHope For The Heart Founder and CSO June Hunt and KCBI Radio were each honored recently with a “Legacy of Life” Community Award.

The awards were presented on behalf of the North Texas Region of the National Day of Prayer during their annual rally held at the Hope Center in Plano, TX.

June Hunt was honored with the award for “her relentless work in transforming and reforming the ‘Family’ unit,” while KCBI was honored for its longevity and extraordinary support for the National Day of Prayer for more than 20 years and for its perseverance in transforming the "Media" arena.

kcbiThe National Day of Prayer, founded by Focus on the Family and Shirley Dobson, has hosted national observances for more than 25 years. The focus of the National Day of Prayer, which is observed nationally on May 1, is to see reformation in all of the seven major spheres of influence: Media, Military, Economics, Education, Family, Church, and Government.

In preparation for the National Day of Prayer national observance, the North Texas Regional Team hosted their citywide prayer rally at the Hope Center on February 11. The purpose for the rally was to galvanize and mobilize churches, businesses, ministries, prayer leaders, and city officials throughout the North Texas Community to support the National Day of Prayer's national observance day.
