The intercollegiate committee of NRB, iNRB, is calling out for engaging presentations and papers that inform broadcast, film, and mass communication educators of proven media practices in a convergent society, cutting edge media technologies, and innovations in academia.
Over the past four years, iNRB has hosted an annual Academic Innovation Exchange Conference, bringing together some of the most brilliant minds in mass media education to present innovative and stimulating research findings and innovations geared towards mass media education.
In addition to Traditional Presentations, which are designed to peak interest and stimulate dialogue, AIE offers the following session formats:
Technology Innovations: A session designed to bring participants up to speed with the latest in broadcast technology and how they can incorporate that technology in their curriculum.
Film Presentations: Screenings of films produced by film faculty.
Swap-Shop: A panel designed to give faculty an opportunity to share information about classes, assignments, or projects.
To submit a proposal for presentation, please email your name, institution, and contact information along with the type of presentation you are proposing from the list provided. Also include an abstract or description of your proposed idea. The conference coordinators will be in contact with further details on how to submit your proposed presentation.
The deadline for submitting proposals is Friday, November 9, 2012.
If your proposal is accepted, you will have an additional opportunity to finalize session information after you receive your acceptance notice.
To submit a proposal or to request more information, contact Dr. Heidi D. Campbell at email@example.com.
The 5th annual Academic Innovation Exchange Conference will take place 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., on Friday, March 1, 2013, at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, TN.
