Harvest America Invites Christians Nationwide to Join the ‘Prayer Cloud’

Greg LaurieSince July 30, Christians from all over the United States have been praying around the clock for Harvest America and adding the names of people they are praying for to the online “Prayer Cloud.”

As of Wednesday, more than 7,000 people have committed to praying for at least one hour during the 60-day prayer campaign leading up to Harvest America’s event on September 28-29, and more than 45,000 names have been added to the list of people to be prayed for.

“In the next few months, we’re going to really be focusing on an effort to challenge all of you out there to get on your knees, to get before the Lord, and pray for our loved ones, pray for our nation, pray for our community – that the Lord would send a revival that would turn our hearts back to Him again,” says Cathe Laurie, wife of Greg Laurie, Senior Pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship.

“Jesus is a miracle worker and he can do amazing things as we beseech him for our country, for our loved ones, for our neighborhoods, for our communities,” she adds.

In addition to the Prayer Cloud, Harvest is encouraging believers to sign up for their 60-day prayer email list to receive specific prayer requests, encouragement to pray, and periodic Harvest America updates.

Harvest also will be holding a Prayer Rally on Sunday, September 8, encouraging participants to pray for specific individuals to experience the life-changing power of the Gospel at Harvest America.

“God can do amazing things when we come to Him in prayer,” notes Laurie.

On September 28, Harvest America will kick off its two-day event at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, which will be broadcast nationwide. The event will feature a message by Pastor Greg Laurie as well as performances by top Christian recording artists MercyMe, Jeremy Camp, Kirk Franklin, NEEDTOBREATHE, and Lecrae.

According to Harvest, hundreds of churches are preparing for and will be attending Harvest Philadelphia, joined by the thousands who will be participating from their homes, churches, community centers, and other venues across the nation.

The event will begin at 7 p.m. ET on September 28.
