A new documentary film based on the book Never Surrender by Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Jerry Boykin hit the Web and Christian bookstores nationwide last month.
The hour-long documentary, directed by Daniel Lisko and distributed by EMI Christian Music Distribution, features Gen. Boykin’s account of events that he experienced in his 34 years of serving America. Before retiring, Gen. Boykin was on the front lines of many of the conflicts that have faced America. The founding member of Delta Force and former Commander of United States Special Forces has confronted tyrants, drug dealers and war lords while engaging in areas including Somalia, Panama, Iran and Iraq.
“With Delta, I oversaw both the rescue of CIA operative Kurt Muse from a Panamanian prison and the capture of Manuel Noriega, the brutal dictator who put him there. In Colombia, I helped hunt down the drug lord Pablo Escobar, a cruel and filthy-rich thug who terrorized a nation, personally ordering the deaths of more than a thousand people,” recalled Gen. Boykin in his book.
In addition to Gen. Boykin’s account of events, the documentary highlights the challenges that he sees confronting us at this critical time for faith and freedom.
Also featured are exclusive interviews and comments with special guests including Bridgett Gabriel, Mike Huckabee, Oliver North, James Dobson and Franklin Graham.
The documentary is being touted as a salute to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for liberty and a call for awareness to the dangers confronting freedom.
Gen. Boykin, who presently serves as the Executive Vice President of the Family Research Council, recently spoke at the 2012 Capitol Hill Media Summit of the NRB President’s Council.
