Family Talk's '1000 Days of Impact' Campaign Reaches 1.5M Families

1000 Days of ImpactSince the launch of their "1000 Days of Impact" initiative at the beginning of the year, Dr. James Dobson's Family Talk has made a difference for 1.5 million families.

"Over these months God has done amazing things, moving ahead of us and on our behalf as we seek to Reach, Teach and Connect 10,000,000 families by the end of 2015," the ministry reported last week.

On January 1, 2013, Family Talk launched "1000 Days of Impact" - their "most important initiative to date" - to " impact and invigorate as many as ten million families in the United States over the next three years."

For the initiative, Family Talk is working to expand the outreach and distribution of their broadcasts; to add depth to the service teams that are helping families individually online, via telephone, and through direct correspondence; and to build new interactive digital tools, such as Family Talk’s recently-released mobile application.

"We are ready to launch exciting programs and projects that will change lives today and influence generations of families to come," the ministry added.

In their second quarter report, the ministry reported significant increases in multiple areas. Facebook impressions, for example, increased more than 200% from last quarter, and page likes were up by 21,000; the mobile app witnessed an increase of almost 300% from last quarter; the number of unique visitors to the website increased by 12,000 from last month; and the number of visitors to Family Talk's "Voices of the Family" blogs grew by more than 79%.

"Family Talk has a God-given goal of engaging 10,000,000 families ... in connecting with culture to move towards righteousness as a nation. It starts with one family ... and grows from there. We can reach this goal one family at a time," the ministry stated.

Drawing from Dr. Dobson’s 35 years of guidance and expertise, Family Talk provides tools and biblical wisdom to families in all stages. Family Talk’s mission is to strengthen the family, spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and help encourage our nation’s people to lives of righteousness.
