The US Board of Directors for NRB member Far East Broadcasting Company (FEBC) announced this week that Edward W. Cannon is to be the new President of FEBC US. Cannon’s professional career has included leadership in both national ministry settings and the corporate world as well, having first shouldered global corporate responsibilities for British Petroleum, Amoco and Standard Oil Company where he developed extensive international experience, and more recently with his service as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. During his eight-and-a-half years at Moody, Ed Cannon had oversight of broadcasting, publishing, the legal department, fundraising and the operations of the Institute.
Of his appointment, Cannon, who is also an NRB Board Member, remarked, “I’ve had a passion my whole life to be part of the Great Commission,” noting that through FEBC he will be leading a ministry that is “reaching nearly half the population of the globe with the Good News of Jesus Christ.”
