Dr. Frank Wright to Join Salem Communications as President and COO

Dr. Frank WrightSalem Communications announced Tuesday that Dr. Frank Wright, former President & CEO of NRB, will be joining the company's senior executive team as its President and Chief Operating Officer.

"Frank has nearly twenty years' experience working on Capitol Hill, ten years' experience working with the Federal Communications Commission and various Executive Branch agencies, and more than 20 years' experience working in and with broadcast media organizations,” noted to Salem's Chief Executive Officer, Edward Atsinger, to whom Dr. Wright will be reporting directly. “Frank has also developed a robust network among DC-based public policy organizations, as well as DC-based political organizations."

Upon hearing the announcement, NRB President & CEO Dr. Jerry A. Johnson congratulated both Salem and Dr. Wright, noting how encouraged he is by the news.

“It is wonderful to know that Dr. Wright will be serving at one of our association’s most active and exemplary member organizations,” stated Dr. Johnson, “and Salem will certainly be blessed to have him.”

“I look forward to seeing Salem, NRB, and the Kingdom grow through this development,” added Dr. Johnson.

According to Tuesday’s announcement, Dr. Wright will be joining Salem effective January 1, 2014. Dr. Wright served as President & CEO at NRB for 11 years. Prior to joining the NRB in 2003, he served for seven years as the Executive Director of the Center for Christian Statesmanship based on Capitol Hill.
