Billy Graham Rapid Response Team at Tornado Sites

BGEA Rapid Response Team praying“It’s impossible to overstate the pain and despair caused by tornadoes,” says Jack Munday, director of the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team, as that ministry’s national network of chaplains is deployed to five locations in four states after recent tornadoes claimed dozens of lives and ravaged homes and businesses from the Midwest to the South. Teams of disaster-trained chaplains will minister to survivors of the violent storms around the communities of Harrisburg, IL; Madison, IN; Henryville, IN; West Liberty, KY; and Charlotte, NC.

Victim of Harrisburg, IL, tornado.In each of the five cities, the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team is working alongside Samaritan’s Purse to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the survivors. Since the ministry was launched in 2002, it has responded to more than 125 natural and man-made disasters, including hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, fires and shootings.
