'America’s Pastor' Turns 95 and Again Addresses Nation

The Rev. Billy Graham, known as “America’s Pastor” to many, this week marked his 95th birthday with the airing of a powerful sermon to the nation. “The Cross,” which speaks to God’s love and our need for redemption, began airing nationally on Thursday on FOX News, several Christian networks, and a number of local stations.  Rev. Graham has influenced lives across the nation and the globe for decades through his ministry, including every U.S. President beginning with President Harry Truman. Notably, Senate Leaders Harry Reid (D-NV) and Mitch McConnell (R-KY) both began Thursday’s Senate session honoring Rev. Graham. Senator McConnell stated, “I just want to join all the others across the country and around world in thanking this good and humble servant for his decades of ministry and tireless preaching of the Gospel that he loves.”
