Manassas, VA – The National Religious Broadcasters (NRB), the preeminent association for Christian communicators worldwide, will be addressing some of the biggest "hot button" issues of the day during a press conference at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 20, 2012 during the 69th annual NRB Convention & Exposition in Nashville, TN.
Dr. Frank Wright, NRB's President & CEO, notes that "We see a good news/bad news landscape right now - signs of optimism on the religious liberty front and yet at the same time ominous indicators that faith-based ministries are being challenged as never before. At our press conference we will be sharing a glimpse of NRB's steady, and committed resolve to keep the doors of all media and information platforms open for the spread of the Gospel of Jesus Christ."
Participants in the press conference will include Dr. Wright, Richard P. Bott, II, Chairman of the NRB Board of Directors, Craig Parshall, Senior Vice-President & General Counsel, and Aaron Mercer, Vice-President of Government Relations. They will comment on breaking Capitol Hill news including the newest disclosure that liberal, non-profit watch dog Media Matters had launched an aggressive, focused campaign against Christian broadcasters in 2006, including the targeting of the Christian Broadcasting Network, Focus on the Family, and Dr. James Dobson, as well as the violation of religious liberties created by "Obamacare," among other matters. The press conference will be conducted on Monday, February 20th, at 10:30 a.m. in the NRB convention media center at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center, Governor's Chambers D.
