Manassas, VA–In response to today’s announcement that Federal Communications Commission Chairman Julius Genachowski will be departing from the Commission in the weeks ahead, Dr. Frank Wright, President & CEO of NRB, expressed thanks for his service and best wishes in his next steps.
“Chairman Genachowski has been a fine leader of the Commission. I am particularly grateful for his efforts to remove the terrible 'Fairness Doctrine' from the FCC books once and for all, as well as for his words of support for a proposal, now pending before the FCC, that noncommercial broadcasters be able to use some airtime to help third-party charities. NRB is grateful for his leadership and wishes him the best in the future,” said Dr. Wright.
