Megachurch Pastor Raul Ries to Speak at Saturday
General Session of NRB 2013

Manassas, VA - Raul Ries, pastor of the 14,000-member Calvary Chapel Golden Springs in Diamond Bar, CA, will be one of the main speakers during the Saturday General Session at the NRB 2013 Convention & Exposition in Nashville, TN, on March 2, 2013.

“I am looking forward to hearing what Raul has to say to us,” remarked NRB President & CEO Dr. Frank Wright. “His story of transformation and healing is a testament of God’s divine power, and his desire to serve the Lord and see souls saved for Christ is a wonderful example to so many.”

Before accepting Jesus four decades ago, Raul’s life was filled with anger, rage, aggression, and fury. After he surrendered his troubled life to Christ, Raul was completely transformed, his marriage restored, and he was empowered by the Holy Spirit to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ to others.

Since then, Raul has earned three master’s degrees from Azusa Pacific University and a doctorate from Fuller Theological Seminary. He was ordained by Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa in 1974 and started a small home Bible study that has since grown into a congregation of more than 14,000 people.

Today, Ries is the evangelist for the Somebody Loves You Crusades. He is heard internationally on more than 350 radio stations and translators through his daily syndicated radio program, Somebody Loves You.

In addition, Raul has produced three films – a feature film and two documentaries – and authored numerous books, including Fury to Freedom, which has been translated into six languages.  Through conferences in the United States and throughout Latin America, Raul seeks to equip the saints for the ministry.
