Samuel Tirtamihardja Receives Prestigious NRB Hall of Fame Award

Samuel TirtamihardjaMANASSAS, Va. – Samuel Tirtamihardja was a recipient of the prestigious NRB Hall of Fame Award during the Closing Gala on February 26 at Proclaim 16, the NRB International Christian Media Convention in Nashville, Tennessee.

The National Religious Broadcasters Hall of Fame stands as a witness for current communicators, a showcase of warriors for Christ who live exemplary lives of valor and compassion, blazing trails and leaving paths for succeeding generations to follow. NRB's most prestigious award is presented to an individual NRB member for invaluable contribution to the field of Christian communications, exhibition of the highest standards and evidence of faithfulness in Christ. This year, Tirtamihardja was selected to receive this award.

Prof. Samuel Tritamihardja, President Director of FEBC Indonesia and Heartline radio FM 100.6MHz, started the first Christian radio network in Indonesia.

Tirtamihardja started working at FEBC Indonesia back in 1970 as an engineer. In 1976, he became the Director. He started his mission from a garage and now has an office estate in Lippo Karawaci and eight FM stations across Indonesia reaching non-believers. Now serving 40 years as the President Director, Tirtamihardja has brought more than 30,000 people to Christ.
