NASHVILLE (NRB) – Chuck Finney, president of Finney Media, received the 2018 NRB Individual Professional Membership Award on Friday, March 2, during the Closing Gala at Proclaim 18, the NRB International Christian Media Convention in Nashville, Tennessee.
The Individual Professional Membership Award is presented to a current Individual Professional Member of NRB who has demonstrated the highest professional and ethical standards, extraordinary leadership in serving NRB, and excellence in mentoring fellow Christian media professionals.
Right out of college, Chuck Finney led a station team that began doing radio research.
He spent a lot of time in AC, News/Talk, Sports, Country and even classical radio — but came to Christian radio with Salem’s KLTY in Dallas, where, as Program Director, he led a team that brought the station to record audience levels where listeners were engaged with a message of hope.
More recently, in the last nine years, Finney has been leading a team that works with teaching stations, teaching ministries, hosts, and music stations — all directed to helping ministries deepen relationships with viewers and listeners via research and consulting.
Finney is currently on the Radio Standing Committee of the NRB.
When he received the Individual Member Professional Award during Proclaim 18, Finney commented, “I’m so grateful to God that we can serve Him here among friends within the NRB world of influence and at this time in history.”
“It’s a crossroads time as media changes roll over us,” he added. “Praise God for the opportunities we face to expand the Kingdom!”
The Individual Professional Membership Award was one of 26 awards that were presented during Proclaim 18, which took place February 27-March 2, 2018, at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee. For the complete list of 2018 award recipients, click here.
