NASHVILLE (NRB) – CBN Afrique received the 2018 NRB International Media Award on Friday, March 2, at Proclaim 18, the NRB International Christian Media Convention in Nashville, Tennessee.
The NRB International Media Award is presented to an organization based outside the United States that excels in media ministry – exercising integrity and faithfulness to the cause of Christ, while demonstrating unusual effectiveness – and excels in innovative uses of electronic media in the proclamation of the Gospel of Christ in impacting the target culture.
CBN Afrique is a nonprofit ministry demonstrating the love of God and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ through media evangelism and humanitarian aid.
CBN Afrique, led by Regional Director Jon Cassel, is headquartered in Senegal, West Africa. From 132 national and regional television stations, Le Club 700 hosts Macy Domingo and Pastor Raymond Koffi minister to more than 300 million French-speaking people, spread across Africa in 18 different nations. In addition, CBN Afrique produces a television series called One Cubed Afrique and distributes the French Superbook animated series to reach younger audiences in the French-speaking world.
Another important focus of CBN Afrique is personal interaction with viewers through phone calls, emails, online chats, text messages, and Facebook. During the past year, 21 CBN prayer centers connected with people in 21 French African countries.
The International Media Award was one of 26 awards that were presented during Proclaim 18, which took place February 27-March 2, 2018, at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee. For the complete list of 2018 award recipients, click here.
