Manassas, VA – 106.5 KWPZ will receive the prestigious NRB Large Market Radio Station of the Year Award during the February 26th Radio Reception at the NRB 2011 Convention & Exposition.
“KWPZ is committed to sharing Christ with their listeners, from their on-air talent and uplifting music to their promotional spots and teaching programs,” said NRB President & CEO Dr. Frank Wright. “And KWPZ’s commitment to the cause of Christ continues through their community service projects and partnerships with other ministries. We are therefore delighted to recognize KWPZ with this award for actively serving as Christ’s ambassadors through all facets of their ministry.”
KWPZ uses their Arbitron ratings to determine how well they are reaching their target market, and make changes in their programming if they receive lower numbers. Their ratings are also instrumental in driving their advertising sales. As a result, the station receives feedback from both listeners and advertisers about the positive (and even life-changing) interactions they have with KWPZ.
The NRB Large Market Radio Station of the Year Award is presented to a radio station that is innovative, locally-focused, and effectively impacts a market of more than two million but less than 5 million in potential population through community service, promotions and marketing, outreach, ratings, and/or other means.
