WASHINGTON (NRB) – Returning to the NRB International Christian Media Convention as a Platinum Sponsor, Museum of the Bible will present an all new, one-of-a-kind interactive preview of the soon-to-open, 430,000-square-foot museum in Washington, D.C., offering attendees an exclusive sneak peek at its exhibit plans and the interactive technologies designed exclusively for this engaging, state-of-the-art museum.
In addition, Museum of the Bible President Cary Summers will speak at Proclaim 17’s Opening Session on February 27, which will also feature cast members from the Broadway show Amazing Grace The Musical that will be the debut show at the museum’s “World Stage Theater” when it opens November 17, 2017. The cast members will perform selections from the stirring new original musical based on the awe-inspiring true story behind the world’s most beloved song.
“Museum of the Bible will provide Proclaim 17 attendees a glimpse of the memorable experience awaiting future museum guests from all walks of life as they encounter the world’s most influential book,” said Summers.
Located in Washington, just three blocks from the Capitol, Museum of the Bible is under construction and scheduled to open in November 2017.
Using cutting-edge technologies, Museum of the Bible will provide guests with an immersive, personalized, innovative experience as they engage with the Bible. The Museum Collections – an aggregation of several of the world’s most prominent private collections of biblical objects and artifacts – contains thousands of donated items as well as artifacts and rare books under long-term agreement with several collections. In addition, cooperative agreements with other institutions, including the Israel Antiquities Authority, will provide museum guests an unrivaled opportunity to engage with artifacts and materials related to the Bible.
During Proclaim 17, the NRB International Christian Media Convention taking place February 27-March 2, 2017, in Orlando, Florida, Museum of the Bible will have a breath-taking, 12,000-square-foot presentation on the floor of NRB's award-winning Exposition -- the largest marketplace dedicated to Christian media professionals.
Visitors to Museum of the Bible's exhibit will get a firsthand look at some of the technology that will be used in Washington, D.C. A prototype of the hand-held, digital guide will be debuted in the exhibit. Attendees will have an opportunity to use these devices through the exhibit and see how they interact with exhibits to enhance the visitor’s engagement with the Bible.
Museum of the Bible will be among the more than 200 exhibitors that will be found on the floor of NRB’s Exposition. Passes to enter the exhibit hall are available for just $25. Entrance is included in a full convention registration.
While the Convention itself takes place February 27-March 2, 2017, the exhibit hall will be open February 28-March 2.
