Moscow shuts down the Voice of America

During the Cold War, the Voice of America, Radio Free Europe, the BBC and others brought those behind the Berlin Wall the other side of the story. Of course, news wasn't its big draw. That was the Beach Boys, the Beatles, Elton John [Unlink] and Elvis. These stations often had to change frequencies because the Communist government would jam them.
