FCC Will Open Three-Week Window For New Translator Permits

The effort to process and award FM translators to the scores of broadcast who filed applications during a special window for AM owners earlier this year is taking another step forward. The Federal Communications Commission has opened a three-week window next month—from Dec. 1 to Dec. 21—for the filing of new station construction permit applications for 847 applications that weren’t in conflict with any other submissions from broadcasters.
