FCC Scales Back Proposed Changes To Simulcast Rules To Just AM Stations

Broadcasters may soon have more leeway to simulcast programming as the Federal Communications Commission decides whether to update the Radio Duplication Rule. FCC Chair Ajit Pai said he plans to bring the proposal to vote at the Commission’s August meeting, and in an unexpected twist the change is expected to only impact AM stations – not FMs.
