Radio Seeks Lower Rates In Coming CRB Hearing

How much the radio industry will pay in streaming royalties for the period covering 2021 to 2025 is unlikely to be decided until early next year, at the earliest. Chief Copyright Royalty Board Judge Jesse Feder says because of the delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic to what is known as the Web V Proceeding, he intends to ask the Register of Copyrights to give the CRB another six months – or until April 15, 2021 – to issue a final decision.
