The Towards Belief series, produced by Sydney-based media group Olive Tree Media, won two awards at the recent Christian Media Australia (CMA) conference on Australia’s Gold Coast.
The 10-part documentary series emerged from the conference with the Graham Wade Pilgrim Prize for Best Christian Product Promoting the Gospel and the CMA/SPARC Award for Best Film, Documentary, Drama or TV Series.
“We are very proud of the series and excited by the influence it will have,” commented Jane Faase, Producer of the series and Creative Director of Olive Tree Media.
“We would like to see every student in every Christian and Catholic high school across Australia watch this series,” added Karl Faase, Executive Director and Host of the series.
Created over the course of 12 months, Towards Belief features interviews with 31 notable Christian leaders, scholars, and thinkers from across the globe. The team behind the series was made up of experienced personnel from the media industry who brought excellent production value to the series.
Karl Faase said he was keen to make sure Towards Belief had the highest possible production value, which would open up international use of the series.
“We were seeking to respond to the belief blockers to Christian faith and belief across the western world,” Faase said.
Over the nine months since its release, the series has been distributed and broadcast in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, the United States, and several Asian countries.
As well as its use in churches across the country, the series is being shown in Christian schools for senior high school students.
