Son Broadcasting’s KCHF TV will celebrate its 30th anniversary tonight during a special event in Albuquerque, NM, with guest speakers including CBN’s Erick Stakelbeck and QuickStudy’s Rod Hembree.
The theme for the event is “At All Cost,” based on Matthew 13:45-46, which reads, “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.”
"For 30 years, God has been faithful in His provision and protection of Son Broadcasting," announced the organization. "There is no doubt that He will continue to watch over and guide this ministry. Until the Lord gives the command that the work is done, Son Broadcasting will press on. We thank the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob for the last 30 years and pray that the months and years yet to come will be filled with His glory."
Founded by Belarmino “Blackie” Gonzales, Son Broadcasting today works through four main organizations: KCHF TV, AM 730 KDAZ, HealthTech, and the Salt Agency.
Since KCHF TV-11 began as the nation's first full-power Christian TV station in 1984, it has broadcast local and national programs including Life Today with James and Betty Robison, The 700 Club with Pat Robertson, John Hagee Today, Precepts for Life with Kay Arthur, God Answers Prayer, Issues and Answers, and many more.
Along with celebrating its beginnings, Son Broadcasting’s 30th Anniversary event is also serving as a springboard, launching the ministry into a new phase of outreach and service.
The event is scheduled to begin tonight at 6:00 p.m. MST and conclude at 9:00 p.m. MST.
